Graphpaper Tokyo

Aside from Graphpaper AOYAMA, a curated select shop, we wanted to create a store in Tokyo dedicated solely to the Graphpaper brand. This vision led to the opening of Graphpaper TOKYO, the brand's fourth store, following locations in Sendai, Kyoto, and Nagoya.

The shop design was inspired by the artist Richard Serra, particularly his iconic installations of black sculptural forms. The minimalist interior reflects Graphpaper’s core philosophy: 'The allure of the space itself must not be diminished by the display of clothing.' Whether enjoying the space or carefully examining the clothing, both elements are intentionally crafted to avoid being a distraction to one another.

As soon as you step into the shop, your eyes are drawn to the black monuments arranged randomly throughout the space. Moving around them reveals Graphpaper’s collection, allowing for a slow, deliberate viewing experience. The contrast between the raw, inherent beauty of the space and the carefully crafted elements—between the unfinished and the finished—embodies the brand’s philosophy. We invite you to enjoy a space that reflects this unique juxtaposition.
